The principle

We worship Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ by giving Them our love, reverence, and devotion — in our own words.

What the lesson is for

Help students see that the psalms are the writers' own words of worship offered back to God, and give them time to begin creating their own expression of love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
