This lesson touches serious sin — keep it safe. Nobody shares anything private; the discussion stays on the text and on the anonymous For the Strength of Youth question. The manual's framing: David 'was guilty of grave crimes; but ... was capable of true contrition and was therefore able to find forgiveness, except in the murder of Uriah' (Bible Dictionary, 'David'; see Doctrine and Covenants 42:18). If a student discloses something serious, point gently toward parents and the bishop rather than handling it in class.
