Knowing where to find the word of God — and carrying it in your heart — builds a foundation on Jesus Christ.
What the lesson is for
Help students memorize key scripture phrases from the Old Testament doctrinal mastery passages, and give them a practical way to mark their own scriptures so the passages are findable when they need them.

Teacher notes
Supplies, board work and timing. Never printed on the cards.
Practice day, not a scripture lesson — hence two cards instead of four. Bring coloured pencils and scripture-marking pencils. The manual's drawing activity works well: groups of four, four stapled papers, rotate clockwise, draw a key phrase / guess the reference / draw again / guess again. IMPORTANT: remind students not to represent Deity in their drawings. Leave 25-30 minutes for the 'acquiring spiritual knowledge' principles review in the manual appendix.
